Good Sunday morning to you!  I hope you enjoyed the cute videos I posted for you this week.  I try to grab them a post them before they become viral so we’re ahead of the game.  You know those videos ____?!____ Girls Say?  The latest one was ____?!____ New Yorkers Say.  It was SO funny, but because of the title I couldn’t post it here, bah!  Why can’t someone make a SFW one so I can share?  The video itself is clean, only the title is the prob.  Oh well - it’s all over the internet, you shouldn’t have a problem finding it.

In diet news.  We’re already past the mid-way mark in January.  I’m still eating clean.  Where most people forget all about their New Year’s resolutions, I’m proud of my progress.  I’ve been there before where I definitely fell off the eating clean wagon, but for the most part I’ve only cheated here and there with my beloved Milanos!

Here are a few of the items I changed in my day to day routine:

  • Bagels/rolls no more!  I looooove carbs, but I’m not gonna waste what I allow myself per day on a bagel.  There are plenty of yummy breakfast options.  I’ve been loving egg white omelettes w/ feta, and fresh fruit.  My new love is for Greek Yogurt, and some days I allow myself a Nutrigrain Bar too.  Breakfast is super important to me.
  • Whole wheat everything!  When I do allow pasta or bread, I make sure it’s whole wheat.  And when it comes to pasta I make sure not to over-eat, so I’ll normally supplement the meal with a spinach salad of sorts.
  • Water with lemon.  I used to be the sugary beverage queen.  Not a water person, until now.  The lemon makes it super refreshing.  I buy Smart Waters by the case and “lemon” them up to bring to work.  I can refill at work, and then recycle the bottle!

That pretty much summarizes the major changes.  Obviously, eating sweets, just ‘cause is a major no-no.  Grrrrr Milanos, you are my weakness!  Ha!

The other day I was lucky enough to find time to practice trapeze.  We are the three amigas!  Mel, Alisha and I.  I’m on the left:

Thanks to our incredible trainer/choreographer Amy!  We even got to practice doubles by having Marco and Max base us.  Hard work, esp. for them… I got up and based or about 3 minutes until I realized how much it hurt!

Skincare.

Ever since I turned a certain age last month, I decided it was time to not only clean up my diet but take better care of my skin too.  I’ve always been good about cleaning my makeup off before bed and using a moisturizer, but I had far from a skincare regimen.

I recently found a line of products I like custom-tailored for my skin type.  (Normal-sensitive w/ oily t-zone.)  I tried a few of the products, swapped out the ones I wasn’t crazy about for another brand I liked better, and now I pretty much have a routine I’m happy with.

My skin is breaking out less which could also be the cleaner diet too.

The other reason I swapped out many of the products in my house.  I found out that a product I had been using for YEARS was performing animal testing.  :(  Thank you to Beautypedia for educating me on this matter.

Well, that’s pretty much all I’ve got for today.  I hope you’re having a great weekend and ready for some football.  See you manana with your chance to win some c$sh!
