What will it be? Should I purchase my own static trapeze bar? Or should I go with the hoop (lyra)?? Decisions, decisions.
Usually when the #triospaztastica (pictured above) goes to practice, we use our coaches’ apparatus. She’ll set up a few bars, and sometimes the triple for us to play practice on. It’s fun, but last night I spontaneously decided to try lyra for the first time. Despite everything I heard about it… “it hurts more”, “you don’t have a lot of room”, etc… NOT TRUE! I ended up LOVING it.
Plus, I love the spin factor. It’s very pretty in my opinion.
I’m not exactly a convert because I adore static trapeze… but who said I can’t practice on both? But, the important question: What to buy?! Help!
One thing’s for sure… I’m not as flexible as I used to be during the gymnastics years, AND I’m sportin’ some very interesting bruises. Thank you Amy, we love you, and to my other 2/3, Mel & Alisha… we make a great team. Thank you also to DJ for helping us set up and for teaching me an “alien split”.
Hmmm. This looks like its gonna be fun… #aerialyoga #aerials (Taken with instagram)
